*** UPDATE ***

Odin was able to flash 6.1 firmware back to the device
******

Thought I'd add to the One UI 7 post frenzy😊

How do i downgrade back to 6.1?

I have a s24 that I'd prefer to downgrade, I've tried factory reset (didn't really expect it to work) and via smart switch on desktop but it doesn't detect it for the emergency software recovery, even when phone is in download mode.

Is my best bet to try and flash with stock firmware using Odin? Or am I SOL?

Sorry Pal just to let you know so you absolutely aware. There is no WAY of downgrading the Bootloader Among other reasons why this virtually impossible at this point, you have already upgraded unfortunately, you are as You said SOL give Odin a try though you might be still Flash a stock 6.1.1 on there. I Wountd bet on it though sorry. 🙏

Incorrect

There is a way to reverse the beta although there are risks with this.

If you go back to the Notices screen, info there on how to revert. You may have additional issues as you say you've done a Factory Data Reset.

This is why we say to people to only join the beta programmes if you are sure. It isn't so you can take a look and then revert.

Good luck.

You could trying this instruction attached. It did work yesterday for someone that was in process of installing and had a change of mind.

It may prove tricky though. Perhaps let us know how you get on.

I don't mind too much if it can't be reverted, it was just sitting in a drawer anyway 😁

I've followed the instructions, withdrawn from the programme and plugged it in but smartswitch isn't picking it up, I've tried different cables and it still doesn't pick it up though I can ADB to it & see it in file explorer. Just waiting for the stock firmware to finish downloading & try it with Odin, if no success one of the kids can have an early Xmas present 😁

No bueno I'm afraid, smart switch desktop app doesn't see the device (although Windows does). Will give Odin a try and see what happens.

Ok. I guess there is a chance that the beta software is so new that it isn't yet recognised by smartswitch.

I would try again in a week and see if things are any different.

Odin is a bit outside of my own knowledge base.

Thanks for clearing that Piper,
I must admit I said that without full confirmation and knowledge. My apologies. THANKS

You can't, once you update your device then you can roll back to the previous version. It warns ⚠️ you to that fact before installing an update.
