How to set live wallpaper on home screen

Probably a simple solution but thought I might ask anyway. I've downloaded a few videos and gifs but I'm unable to apply them to the home screen as live wallpaper but I can set them as a live wallpaper on the lock screen.

Would anyone know if you can apply a live wallpaper to the home screen instead of the lock screen? Thanks.

Nope, you can't have your downloaded videos as live wallpapers on homescreen,  only on lock screen,  It's been like that for probably 5 years. Maybe with some third-party launchers like Nova you can do that, but not with OneUI launcher

However,  you can create your own unique live moving wallpapers on homescreen with Good Lock's module Wonderland

Aaahh, no problem. I've recently moved over to Samsung from using huawei and honor phones which had live wallpaper home screen effects. I thought it was my a15 at the time thinking it might have been a feature on galaxy s phones or something.

I'll look into the Good Lock Wonderland one and see what I can do with that. 🙏 Thank you

Hi, just out of interest I thought I'd comment this just in case someone else might see this information as useful.

On the Wonderland app I go to Create moving wallpaper, New, then click on Colour (not gallery)

Choose any colour and then click on save background. Once you have done that you can add a video layer so it will be on top (the video been the live wallpaper).

Before confirming anything you can zoom in on the video so it can fit the whole screen then all you have to do is select the download button in the top right and then set that as your background and there you have it, you can have a live wallpaper without going through a third party app all thanks to Samsung. Hope this helps

Your one looks pretty cool and I like how you've changed the shape of the icons as well, it's amazing what you can do on there.

I've attached a gif of my live wallpaper, I'm glad I now know how to apply the live, it gives a bit of life into the phone so to speak XD

You can change shapes of icon with Good Lock's modul Theme Park,  tap icon and you can change shapes and colours  with suggested shapes or you can create your own shapes with your stickers or gallery image.  I choose my own sticker which is AI emoji 🤭
