Compared to my S22 Ultra, my S24 Ultra's max brightness in direct sunlight is so bad I can barely make out what the screen says if its in dark mode. The support said its not a defect but I'm not so sure that's true. Has anybody else had this issue and knows how to fix it? I've tried all the modes and extra dim is off.

Well. You have chosen the Darkside come to the light side and you might find redemption.

Also have you got extra dim activated as well? Maybe turn it off and see.

Also note the s24 ultra has to be on auto brightness for it to fully utilise its brightness potential.
Manual brightness even on high won't cut it in bright sunlight.

@Emerald-Trade: Yes, Adaptive brightness (Settings > Display > Adaptive brightness) adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the light in the viewing environment, and should turn your screen brightness up when you're in direct sunlight. If you check your brightness slider when you're outdoors, is it over to the right to indicate that the brightness has been increased?

Its chipset is bad, and will be considered outadted in 1 year.

Since the 8 Gen 5 would have has like 4,000 to 5,000 nits of brightness which is about 2 to 3 times more than the 1,750 nits more like 1200 nits that the s22u has

It wasn't, it was a sensor and they had to replace the whole motherboard.

In general for me the s22 ultra is awful for using camera and gaming. Is it the same for you

Does it heat up to 50*celcius on camera after 5 to 10 mins??
