Hi,
Just a quick enquiry as to how members find the S24 screen brightness in direct sunlight. It's my first full day of usage after using my old S20. My wife has an S23. I noticed that her phone was much brighter than my S24 in direct sunlight. Both phones were set on adaptive but hers was significantly easier to read. Has anyone else had this issue. Also I know the battery usage should be in learning mode but I am alarmed at how quickly the S24 is draining compared to the wife's S23. We spend approximately the same amount of SOT yet hers has currently 25% more battery than mine !!!!. Hopefully this will settle down but I have since seen some YouTube videos stating that the UK S23 battery life is better than the S24 due to the fact it has a snapdragon processor. All thoughts very welcome

The S24 by specification does have a brighter display panel than the S23, I don't have this model to test so just going off the facts.

In regard to battery, it will get better as it learns your usage and the S24 series are always getting software updates improving on this.

Try not to panic too much and enjoy your phone! 🫡

Yeah the battery life during the learning process is a bit inconsistent.
Just carry on using it as you normally would. Won't take long to settle down.
The screen on paper will be brighter at maximum. But you won't be able to get that peak brightness by turning up the screen manually. It will automatically in direct sunlight get to peak brightness to let you carry on seeing what is on the screen.
Works well on my S23 Ultra

Cheers for the input. I have to admit I am a little concerned about the screen brightness as the wife S23 looked a lot better than my S24 in direct sunlight. Both phones had adaptive turned on yet the white background on my S24 looked dim and grey but the S23 looked brilliant white and was far easier to see. Just hoping this improves 🤞

Unfortunately my worse fears have now been confirmed. Whilst holidaying in Geeece. My phone quickly became unreadable in direct sunlight whilst my wife's 1 year old S23 was perfect. Also my battery life was not as good as the S23 used by my other half. This can only be down to the fact that the UK S24 uses the Exynos processor and it's nowhere near as efficient as the Snapdragon used in last years S23. I would go as far to day the battery life in my S24 is not much better than my old S20 5G it replaced.....sorry I upgraded. I'm now thinking after years of Samsung loyalty trading in my S24 and buying a Onleplus 12!!!

This issue still persists with my S24. I will be watching the reviews on the upcoming oneplus 13T and if favourable ditching Samsung.......sorry. Samsung should offer a cheap S24 to S25 direct replacement as this has a snapdragon chip......the problem with the S24 is definitely the Exynos chipset
