What does everyone think

Got the new s24
And in the settings tap display
Then screen mode
Then select vivid
Then select natural

I can't seem the difference between to two when I select both.

I'm hoping it's a software problem

It's a software choice. Problem depends on who you ask. The screen and display however is no less capable of producing the same colours (or better) than previous Samsung phones.

It's been much discussed on here with lots of posts.
Short answer is there's a software update coming. But no published date for it yet

I have the s24 ultra and am not experiencing the screen bug. I have vivid selected and it changes as it should over the natural mode. Screen looks just like my old s23 ultra (which I used on vivid) so it must be a software glitch for some. Hopefully for those effected it's fixed very soon

I've got the same issue with my S24 Ultra.. And as I've also got a S23 ultra to compare the new phone too. I can state, that although subtle, the problem isn't my old eyes it's definitely the S24 Ultra that's at fault.

Samsung are aware of the feedback that's been sent by members and customers so I'm confident they'll be assessing this and act accordingly.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

You're very welcome @Petercat5  😎

It's reasonable for people wanting to be happy with their purchase as these phone's are not cheap, and have confidence in the product, and on the flipside I'm sure Samsung won't want people sending their phone's back within the relevant cooling off period.

No that's the last thing they want to happen. I'm sure they'll sort it out soon but when you're asked to pay in excess of a £1000, you'd have thought they'd be a lot more careful to make sure faulty equipment isn't sent out in the first place.. Having had my moan, as a Samsung customer for over ten years now and overall I'm very happy with their products and the company in general.

I don't think there is a problem per se except that the Vivid and natural buttons don't do much besides changing from cool to warm.

It's just the icons are a more muted colour.

I feel this whole washed out thing is over blown to bits.

I have got used to it now.

There is lots.going on with these newer screens.

Compare the screens like s9+ to S21 ultra to the now S24 ultra and you'll see the difference of samsungs screen colour etc.
