Galaxy S24 ultra camera is bad no matter what I do

After owning several Galaxy phones (S1, S4, Note 4), this phone is a massive disappointment.

Forget competing with flagships, it can't even match Samsung’s older models. The Note 4 outperforms it. Colors look fake, the optimizer ruins every shot, and video stabilization is laughable. Even my old devices handle motion better. And Samsung? No fixes, no updates, nothing.

No, I don’t need tips to enhance my photos. A $1,000 phone should take good photos out of the box, not require RAW exports or Pro mode.

This just proves YouTubers are paid to praise garbage. I regret trusting Samsung again.

I'm so dissatisfied with it, yet I'm still waiting for Samsung for an update since they fixed the wired camera lens buzz while focusing.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

It's sad to hear about your negative experience. I haven't personally owned the S24 Ultra series, but I have seen some impressive pictures.

As this is a members-to-members community, Samsung doesn't see this. I would suggest going to the Samsung Members app > Support > Feedback.

I know it's not ideal, and you don't want to be given adjustments, but you may need to find videos to get what you're looking for.

I don't know if your phone is one of the early devices.
But i do feel your pain.
I had a S24 Ultra, and like you. I just couldn't get on with the cameras. Luckily I have a Z Fold 5 as well so I could use that.
But spending time doing a photo at times i could get great shots.
But ultimately I traded in for the S25 Ultra.
A massive difference and so happy I did.
Some of the earlier S24 Ultra phones although not official. I felt had hardware issues with the cameras. There was never a fix sent out for them.
Later phones people are really happy with, and seem to get amazing photos.

I don't know if the issues you have are the same as mine

I know I sound negative and sent feedback to Samsung. But just never got anything back which was sad really.

But you can try things like clearing the camera app cashe and data to see if that helps

So, the issue with having "out of the box" being the top quality performance is that 99% of people, doing 99% of daily life things, dont need that. And, in fact, actually makes the experiences worse.

One of the most common issues people run into across the web is image uploading. Most sites dont want to accept and store your gallery of 150mb images. So they either error out and refuse or compress it to pixel art.

From your experience you think difference between S24U and 25U camera performance is significant? If yes then I will trade in my s24U in June for 25U. S24U camera imo has been inconsistent and does not justify £1300 price tag

If camera is very important to you I suggest a Pixel phone. I don't like Pixel but the camera is the best from all....

For me the upgrade was noticeable instantly.
So goe me it was a definite improvement
But wether you upgrade is dependent upon how important certain features are to you
My advice would be to go and look at one. Visit an experience store if you have one near.
Take some photos with both phones and see for yourself if its for you.

Both a brilliant phones, and I did like the S24 Ultra. Just the cameras for me were s big let down.
So the S25 Ultra im really happy with

I had to film a quick Presentations for an actor yesterday, when I used the pro feature in stock app, it looked fine in viewfinder, but when i was suppose to edit in premiere it looked like it was in log, and whem i exported it, it looked like it was stacked with filter.

I have used premiere for over 5 years, and I went over export settings a buncj of times, lets cross our fingers for the actor to get the job and that those who hire ignorere the quality...
