I had my S24 ultra for 10 days now.  Since i got it and until this morning i am having the same issues and nothing is making them better.  The issues are:

  • Battery drains so fast i have to charge the phone multiple times a day.  This phone replaced the S23 Ultra with the exact same settings.  Checking the battery monitor and nothing seems to be draining the battery!!!!!
  • The charger does not always work.  If it doesn't, i have to restart the phone to work again.
  • Charging randomly stops at 80-81%.  i have the battery protection off and it still does that.

i checked every post on the net and i cant find a solution.  Anybody with the same problem???

This is very disappointing. Buying a mobile with such an expensive price then facing this issue. I have the same issue as well. The back of S24 Ultra is hot, battery drains so quickly 1% per min sometimes, and slow charging. Does it worth buying this expensive mobile?
I hope this would be sorted ASAP.

I now have my s24 ultra for more than a month and the battery keeps disappointing me. I thought it was learning phase for a whole month then I tried by reinstalling the phone but nothing changed. My battery went from 91 to 61 in like a hour. I'm now seriously thinking about replacing it. Except for battery Everything is perfect, but because of battery I am being sick of this phone.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I've not had any problems at all with my phone until the latest update, now my phone keeps telling me I have water or debris in my charging port, this has been going on every day since the new update, I'm having to charge my phone wireless, which is okay while I'm at home but when I'm out in my car I can't charge my phone.
I've tried everything it says online but it's still exactly the same and won't charge via cable, I've tried numerous different cables.

Absolutely fuming with my S24. I have bought upto 6 chargers now. Samsung, Anker, Belkin, Cheap Tack you name it I've tried it.
The phone does not charge hardly at all. Then randomly throughout the day you get a constant.
USB connected
USB disconnected
USB connected
USB disconnected
And so on. Fuming

I am having the same issue. My phone will not charge on a 45w fast charger at random times. I can use any other type of charger at that moment.

However, I found that I can go into the battery settings and turn off the fast charging option and magically my phone chargers on the same 45w charger it wouldn't before. I don't even have to unplug my phone. I an have my phone plugged in and switch back and forth between fast charge on and fast charge off and my phone charges while the feature is off but when on it disconnects and reconnects the whole time.

I am now forced to switch this feature on and off with a brand new Samsung bought S24 ultra to maintain a charge. Please update. I also did all of the things asked in your "solution" Samsung. Please fix this. I could have kept my S22 ultra which I had zero issues with ever. Shame on me for wanting the new phone with new features.

Side note... Also upset video calling is not a feature from the call screen anymore. Not everybody has these 3rd party apps to video call. Sorry to vent on your post! Do better Samsung. Fix the battery issue ASAP!

Had the same issue, but managed to get better battery life by turning off these 3 under Connections settings:

1. NFC and contactless payments

2. Ultra-wideband (UWB)

3. under More connection settings > turn off Nearby Device Scanning

Optional: switch to 4G instead of 5G as 5G uses more battery. This is good if your 4G is strong and more than suffice for your everyday internet needs.

Hope this helps you fellow S24 Ultra owners! :smiling-face:

Same problem here,  battery drain so fast , I had mine last week and I did " Smart Transfer " and after reading some comments,  I was told to factory reset without " smart Transfer " which I did  and also did " Wipe Catche Partition " and did pretty much everything,

. Still this crappy phone which I paid $ 1400 still lose power so quickly..

Dear samsung.. you should recall this phone immediately.. this is a lemon .. defective battery..

I had Moto G power by Motorola,  before this . Believe me after 100% charge the phone will be at 50% after ONE WEEK  of heavy use , I'm kidding you not ..Monday to Monday and the phone will still at 50%

Hi,

It's been about 3 weeks since I got my new Samsung S24 Ultra 512 GB (India) and I've been facing major battery draining issue. It's so bad, that even without using the battery keeps dropping 4%-5% point in just 5-10 min.
I'm not sure why this is happening? I got this phone expecting the battery life to be much better but it's battery life is absolutely nil. I'm not convinced this would be expected behavior so it seems there might be some issue with my handset.
In addition, I happened to compare S23 Ultra Camera to my phone's camera right next to each other and S24 pictures were extremely dull compared to S23 for the exact same settings.
I'm trying to find an S24 Ultra phone to compare the camera to see if this is an issue only for my handset?
These issues make me think that I might not have the most optimum handset.
Where can I get it reliably checked?

Just purchased S24 for just 2 days and spotted the battery drained very fast and it can definitely not survived for a day, so disappointing.

I have S23 ultra and the battery protection for basic, adaptive, maximum is still not yet fixed after waiting for 2 stable security patches, currently my s23 ultra is running on latest May 2024 security patch.. my phone keeps continuous charging even it reaches 100 at point enabled basic protection it should cut the charging at 100 and re start charging when battery discharges at 95 or 94.. in my testing I kept my phone ideal for 1 hr and noticed 0% drained and the charger was connected

2. I performed heavy task when charging completed at 100% again charger was connected not a drop of 1% was noticed even after 1hr of continuous usage.. This issus was from the day 1, I am not sure how come samsung is not able to resolve a simple logic from day1.. anyway i have lost trust on updates receiving from samsung and will be soon getting other brand Motorola i have noticed that they give updates late but atkeast they do not provide buggy update.

I will never recommend samsung phones ever to anyone
