Hi, I recently purchased samsung s24 Ultra with a lot of excitement and built a trust with samsung that will give a great device to the consumers, I pre ordered with a 1Tb variant I received it on Feb 4 in the UK.

The pictures outcome is too noisy, and it feels like I brought a small range mobile phone instead of samsung Flagship.

The phone is having a lot of bugs:

1. Touch unresponsive, I feel multiple times I need to click for small text.

2. Heating up quickly near the side of the camera even when I am using social media applications.

3. Battery drains rapidly. I believe screen on time is less than expected compared to the previous generation model

4. In the evenings, when I watch screen with the minimum brightness, the text looks more washed away, not sharp at all, that causes eye fatigue and severe headache. Recently, I tested with the eye doctor nothing wrong with my eyes. I am using other phones. I never felt as how bad I am feeling.

Is any anyone facing similar issues, I have 4 days left for my return, please if an give me your inputs on this.

I don't have any of these problems, at least not 1,2 or 3. I don't use low brightness so can't comment on 4, although "washed out display" rings a bell or two ...

Ii haven't experienced any of these problems , and battery life is excellent. Samsung is working on an update for some camera issues and to make the screen more vivid

Hi @Hemanth321

1,  Some users have reported touch responsiveness. I use a Spigen EZ Glass Screen Protector and my display is fine. I have Touch Sensitivity turned On in my display settings. However I believe Samsung may send out an update.

2, The phone has the capability of warming up when using resouce heavy applications such as the camera, and gaming, however Social Media apps shouldn't cause this. If the phone was over heating you'll see a pop up message advising so. The phone should never be too hot to handle.

3, This is a brand new battery so would optimise fully once it's been charged and discharged a few times, and the battery is out of the learning phase which can take typically between 1~2 weeks. Have a look in the Device Care Section under Battery to see what's using your bbattery. There is also the sleep and deep sleep option to move apps to that are resource heavy. You mention you use Social Media which are known as Vampire Apps which use alot of resources in the background. If you perform a forum search you should find lots of battery saving tips  👀

4, There are settings such as eye comfort shield that can help with eye strain and there are different fonts available to use that may help, and you can re size them. Adaptive Brightness may help too.

Some troubleshooting steps you can use to help with battery are >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
  • There is a diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

Hi @Hemanth321

Those problems have been reported before. However, all of those will improve with future firmware updates. The battery is a bit disappointing at the beginning, due to the learning period, but it does improves considerably after the phone settles.

I got the S24 Ultra and the S22 Ultra. The S24U is not matching the battery performance of the S22U at the moment. However, the S22U was having similar battery performance when I got it, and after almost 2 years of use my S22U could get comfortably over 48 hours of battery with a single charge.

I agree with the camera being not great yet. But in my experience with previous samsungs they optimisse it over time. If you really want a great performing camera always buy the previous years flagship. Here is what a 5x zoom looks like currently. 0 detail on the rabbit and very over exposed.20240211_121922_1000049427_1707653963.jpg

Hey, thanks for your time. So, I did the optimization thing, and I noticed that YouTube was still draining my battery in the background. So, I put the app to sleep.

Today, I felt like the battery life was better. I guess Samsung is still learning how I use my phone.

This post helped a lot
