5 days with the S24+

So , this is my first Samsung phone since I owned an S10 , I've been using a OnePlus 8t for the past 3 years ! Couple of things that I've noticed moving back to Samsung....

Biggest annoyance is the messages brief pop up that shows name and details when phone is unlocked!! That can't be hidden, you can turn off the pop up BUT that turns off edge lighting!!!!! 

On the lock screen when I get a notification I can not swipe it away , I have to unlock the phone then swipe it away !!! On the OnePlus I double tapped to wake the screen then swiped it away .

The colour vibrancy on the OnePlus is way better than the Samsung but iam now used to the Samsung and quite happy with the screen.

Apart from that I think the S24+ is absolutely fine 😀

Interesting insights I looked at OnePlus a few years ago, but never bit.

For notifications it's probably OnePlus is more stock Android style, but if you go into Notification settings the level of control is very granular.

Lockscreen swipe to dismiss works for me without an unlock.

Thanks , all I get on my lock screen is the icon of the app , not a banner that can be swiped

Hi @Edgie70  Welcome back to Samsung  and glad you are generally impressed,even if not everything is ideal.

Whilst not certain the colour vibrancy on Vivid Mode may be improved with a software update.  Some though prefer Natural Mode which produces more accurate colours.

Swipe down from any screen, below the notifications you will.see notification settings, click that and then select the problem app notification, then select lockscreen notifications, is it SHOWor HIDE

Thanks James , I've always had Samsung tablets so I've always been around on here , I actually don't mind the colour of the screen on the S24+
