Face search feature gone after update?

My face search feature has all but disappeared. Before it had every face in my gallery that I could search by, now for some reason it has only got my dog under "people and pets". Is there a way I can search my gallery by face if it isn't picking it up automatically?

After latest update.. checked immediately on my gallery in the face search and still no luck. I hope samsung will fix this. Its a big help

GUYSSSSS I FOUND A SOLUTION!!!! 

U need to go to apps, show system files and clear cache for the following 

1) facesearch

2) smartfacesearch

3)  CMHprovider

4) gallery 

And remove any battery protection settings, leave ur phone charging and connected to wifi overnight 

And boom u'll find it in the morningg !

Not a good solution. If you have many pictures on your device, it will take weeks instead of only one night to rebuild the database. 

Please take into consideration, that this will not only wipe faces from your device's index, but also text recognition etc.

I am unable to follow your steps, what phone are you using and are you on the latest software?
