I want to post this here but if it's not allowed, please delete this thread.

I am just posting here hoping to get more opinions, although someone gave me very useful advice, I still cannot clear the partition cache.

Yesterday I managed to do clear partition cache on Note20U and I wanted to see if I can do it on S24U and I was unsuccessful.

The USB C is broken on my laptop. I have tried to use the charger and the earphones but it didn't work.

I have followed the steps accordingly, I have turned off the phone, than I pressed simultaneously the side key and the volume up key and when the Samsung logo came on the screen, I kept pressing the volume up button but every time my phone turned on and the reboot menu did not come up on the screen.
After this I turned off the phone and I used my Note20U as a back up phone today and when I came home I charged my phone turned off and up to 90% and before I turned it on again, I thought I would try again to do partition cache clearing but I had the same result.

This time I have used a USB to USB C cable, which I am pretty sure it's a Samsung USB cable from an older phone. My phone started to charge from this cable and I followed the steps for clearing the partition cache.

I have looked in the menu of the phone but there I couldn't find an option to clear the cache of the phone but I remember I had this possibility on older phones. I wouldn't mind to clear the cache manually as long as I can get rid of the residue cache.
In a way I am worried if I turn on an off my phone so many times will it affect the battery life making it to drain faster.

I am generally happy with the performance of the battery and I would like to keep it on good performance for a long time.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong when I try to clear the partition cache or if my phone just cannot do it.

Thank you for any advice you can give.

If you don't have another USB to connect to.
You can connect to another phone to wipe the partition cashe. I've do this before
I've also used the USB on a TV before

I have tried doing that on my s24 ultra few days ago as well, and it just kept on switching on and off the device. Followed the instructions from Samsung website and youtube video.

Hi there

The ability to use USB-C headphones for Wipe Partition Cache ceased in One UI6 and it is now necessary to connect to a laptop or computer. (I don't think you can use phone to phone but will happily be corrected if someone else knows differently).

You can use any laptop, the process doesn't take data from the laptop, just a power connection so maybe borrow a friend's lappy?

I will try from the Note but I will not do another attempt until the S24U gets it's update from Samsung.
