Hello, i want to know the difference between 12MP camera and 50MP camera and 200MP camera. I have seen the reviews and their opinions made it sounds like it's a big deal. Xiaomi 14 Ultra only have like 50MP for each camera but took equal or better picture than s24 Ultra.
I even checked it for myself, i took a picture of the same object but using different camera 12MP, 50MP and 200MP. Despite the massive differences in numbers, i couldn't find any obvious differences that made 200MP or 50MP looks better than 12MP camera, not to mention if you zoomed the pictures that you taken, all have the same grainy look or you can see the picture started to get pixelated.
I want to know how to fully utilize my 200Mp camera on my S24 Ultra, next month I'm going on a vacation and wanted to take a very good picture with it.

And when i checked the resolution of 12MP pictures and 200MP respectively, it have different resolution.
12MP - 3000 x 4000
200MP - 12240 x 16320
50MP - 6120 x 8160
But it's just that i couldn't find any major differences.
Even 480p vs 1080p videos have noticeable differences , how come the pictures taken by s24 were not?

the lack of difference that you can visually see is due to each of those phones have a differenent ppi (pixels per quare inch) aswell as display materials etc.
take the puctures with each different phone then upload thru a cable to a computer (if you send it compression will occur and lower the significant difference)
anyway when you open them on the computer you will see its the same picture in 3 different sizes. so say you wanted to blow up a portrait of something. as you increase that picture to sa big enough to hang on the wall. you will see 3 different levels of how the picture looks. at the same size the 200mp will look far better than 50 and 50 will beat 12. it will be noticeable.
this is the reason every iphone person thinks their camera has always been better. no dummy you screen was better (retina display) so it just shows better. proof was i took the same picture with my samsung sent it to the iphone and then looking at the pictures on the iphone the sammy was better clearly

Im sure you'll never end up seeing this. But as for the test you did? Another issue for a long time was the fact that apple kept using old school mms messages. So whenever you sent a Pic to an iPhone from anything other than another iPhone. It always ruined the resolution. So iphone fan boys thought their cameras/pics were better. Idk why exactly it didn't do it when you sent photos between iPhone. But at least they finally agreed to join us in the future using rcs chat now. Although I think they waited so long and fought so hard about switching. Bc everyone loved their imessages. But now with rcs, you get the same, if not a better version of imessage

Simply put, 200 megapixels is just a lie from Samsung. The maximum quality for Samsung phones is 50 megapixels.
