Bring back the 3-position gesture navigation bar! #usability #navigation #android

On the S24, they've made a change to the navigation gesture bar. The old 3-position bar (swipe up for app drawer, home, back) has been replaced with a single bar in the middle that goes home. To go back, you have to swipe in from the sides, and opening the app task drawer is not as straightforward.

I believe it would be beneficial if they provided the option to have the three separate gesture navigation options back. This would allow users to choose the navigation method that they prefer and are most comfortable with. Galaxy S24 Ultra. Galaxy S24+. Galaxy S24

How have they sorted it out? Did you get an update for it? Because I am checking for one every hour and there is nothing.

Go to goodlock ,open navstar ,enable more gestures ,now go to nav bar in the phone settings ,and you'll see the option . Or go to Jeff springer on you tube ,he has a video on how to do it

Goodlock isn't a solution. It's a workaround. I am from Bulgaria, I saw another person posting here from Romania. We don't have goodlock available for download over here. Only option is downloading the APK from some shady site or something. And why even do that? Why can't we have it natively supported?

User experience with my new S24 Ultra downgraded a lot in comparison with the previous S23 Ultra because of the lack of this feature. And it's quite bad that we don't even get the option to put things back as we like. Treating customers like sheep is something that I hate as it brings back the reasons why I quitted Apple as my daily ecosystem.

I verry much agree! If you watch a youtube video, and have the phone in horisontal mode, you cant close chat.

It only activates the back option.

The buttons work, but they require much more presession. Please resolve this issue.
