Who else gets these

Fully up to date, s24 ultra

At least once every few weeks, will be using my phone, and suddenly a black screen appears and nothing will clear it, til a couple minutes.

I've sent several LOGS to Samsung who hasn't got a fkg clue and won't do anything to sort it

Since January I've sent 50 logs for issues and all I get is .... We e passed this on to the technical team.

Never any solutions tho.

I'm fed up, and I doubt next year I'll be returning to Samsung.

Customer services is the shittest of all phone companies ... It makes orange of the 90s look like a professional award winning team.

They never accept responsibility, and never have any answers...

I can't be the only person.

Current phone Galaxy S22 Ultra
Previous phones: most S series, Note 2, Samsung Alpha, iPhone 3gs, far too many Nokia's!

Are you based in the UK? I'm asking because you said you have been sending logs since January but the s24 ultra didn't go on sale in the UK until 31st January. The dual sims will definitely put a strain on the phone, it's as if it's getting hung up and freezing and crashing. Have you removed one of the sims as a test? I was running 2 sims but didn't get a black screen however sometimes it would freeze for a few seconds when using it. I removed a sim and no issues since.

Hi,

I see you're still suffering from the same problem as you mentioned previously.

Do you think it could be down to one (or more) of your apps?

Previously we advised not to install any backups but to download new apps manually one at a time. Do you think you've downloaded the same app and it's that which is causing the issue?

It would be a bit impractical to suggest you boot to Safe mode and monitor for a few weeks, especially if this is your main phone.

Is there any chance you could do without your 3rd party apps for a few weeks, just to eliminate the possibility of one of them being the culprit?

Hi there, sorry you are having this issue, does the black screen appear when using a specific app? Have you tried a cache partition wipe? Sometimes this will help fix most problems. Have you booted into safe mode to see if it still happens?

I have very few apps which do more than the app should.

Ie calendar has camera and mic refused, and cannot run in background..... For example.

I did do a clean restart ... No back ups.

This time it was Samsung internet that did the screen.

I think if it happend regularly while doing specific tasks, I could go with a rogue app, but it isn't.

Am I really alone in this happening?

Can't seem to do that at all on this phone.

Seriously. I get a message "pdd not loaded" (or something similar each time I try either.).

So I turn off and leave off for half an hour before turning back on.

As I said, not even Samsungs own tech support seem able to work out what's wrong.

I've been sending reports for months over various faults ... Now they say, just send a normal message ... So how does that send a fault log ... All I got was it doesn't

So why would I do that instead then. .... No answer.

Is it cos I have 2 Sims ... One for calls and one for outside data when no WiFi ...beach is to be turned on/requested as I need them.

Thanks. It's unfortunate that this is a random issue, as these tend to be quite difficult to pin point. Is the device still under warranty? May be worth taking it to a local Samsung store and having a chat with the guys in there?

Ensure you plug into a working PC or laptop then try

Or follow these instructions

1. Turn off the device.
2.Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB. Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Done that ... They claim to find nothing either.

They won't replace unless main Samsung say so.

Main won't say anything.

Yes, all S24 are only 7 months old.
