Battery level being misreported

My S24 Ultra was going along nicely for a week or so then all of sudden a couple of days ago it stated that my battery was low and needed charging (it was at 70%) Then, when it got to 34% it stated that it would shut down soon.

I turned off battery saver mode (I was charging it to 80% on maximum saver mode) as I wondered if that could be an issue and then charged it fully to 100% to see if that helped. It didn't, so I did the usual, turned it off, waited a couple of minutes and restarted it. As soon as it booted up it still showed a low battery warning at 100%.

Does anyone have any ideas please? I have optimised it and checked the battery health and it looks as it should. I should also say that it lasted for 36 hours (I turn it off every night) so I don't think there is an actual issue with the battery itself. It just seems to be that it doesn't recognise the actual battery percentage?

Thanks in advance.

Just to say I'm allowing the battery to completely run down until the phone shuts off, my battery at present is at 42% I'm expecting it to run out tomorrow I'm a light user and then I will recharge it fully and see how it goes. It's still saying that it's going to shut down but so far it hasn't so that's good. I'll let you know if it works.

Well, I let my phone run down until it switched off (it took 2 days) Then recharged it tov100%. And it still says my battery is low and to charge it at 100%??

"You could try a full battery recycle.

Just run it down till it shutdowns and then full charge with the phone off to 100% "

Looks like something is corrupted with the battery reading.

You could try a reset settings under settings and Reset> reset settings only.

There is actually a code I can't remember that can reset the battery as well.

Worse case scenario you could try a full reset.

Best case scenario take it into a Samsung store and see if they can figure it out.

If I did a full factory reset (after backing up to Samsung cloud) and then I restore it from the cloud, would everything go back to as I had it? Screens, settings etc.?

Didn't try Samsung cloud.

I normally back up on Google One but never restore apps or settings.

Install apps as and when I need them the rest you can back up and restore.

Got on to the remote assistant and Romana seems to have fixed it . . . 🤞 She said to run with it to see how it goes, but so far so good. 👍 Thanks to everyone for your help.

Did you have any luck with this, I have the same issue on the s23 +
I have done a full reset as well as done the calibration steps listed here.
