Battery draining faster after software update

Hello has anyone else experience faster battery drainage after updating one UI 7 on your S24 ultra and if you have experience the same thing has anyone been able to sort out the issue and if yes what have you done

I’m having the same issue with my Samsung S24 Ultra — ever since the latest update, the battery is draining faster than my motivation on a Monday morning. And I’m not even using it any differently!

I’ve read before that companies “definitely not on purpose” tend to let the performance of their older phone models mysteriously decline... probably just so they can fully focus on their shiny new releases. Totally a coincidence, right?

Looks like it might be Samsung’s turn now — and those of us with “older” phones (mine is from January 2024, so practically ancient in tech years) are being ever-so-gently nudged to upgrade or switch.

Thankfully we didn't.

Like all tech, things have to be done in order. Calibration needs the user to use their device for a given period for it to learn your usage.

Your device cannot achieve it otherwise.

Sorry, like it or don't like it, that's your call. But this is the process...

 There is a new update of One UI 7, version S928BXXU4BYE7 / S9228BOXM4BBYE7 / S928BXXU4BYE7.

I definitely have this problem. It coincided exactly with One UI 7 and I tried many fixes. Exasperating.

• Galaxy S24+
• Sudden shockingly worse battery life
• Not subjective or user error; I'm a tech and diagnostician 
• Now charges slowly, despite Super Fast Charge 2.0 and carefully selected high-watt charging equipment.
• I'm already using power saving mode
• Higher temperatures, especially top half of phone
• No clear culprit in the settings 
• Just received a follow-up update, but it didn't fix it. 

Wanted to add my experience to the stack. Hope Samsung is taking it seriously.

Hi. I was getting 4-5sot from 100% to 20% after update to one ui 7. Someone mentioned to "reset battery stats" using *#9900#. I did that and also turned off 5G and after two days im getting 6-7 sot from 100%to 20% easily. Please try this and see if it works for you too.
