Hello everyone,
im facing the same issue, s24 ultra, had like 7 hours of SOT with one ui 6.1 after one ui 7 update (after months and weeks of waiting) im facing poor battery performance, comparing to 6.1.
but, i think its not just the software, but more the combination and the optimization of applications, like for example whatstpp with one ui 7. i tested this thing for few days, and put whatsapp on sleep mode (not deep sleep mode) so i will do get some amount of notifications, and the battery performance got better (not as good as with the one ui 6.1, but still) . BTW, my battery capacity after 15 months of use is 96%...
so.. im thinking this issue is related to the corporation between some apps and Samsung software.. but it looks like no one cares, maybe the dev team are focusing on one ui 8... i dont know.. but its frustrating that i we have a beast like s24 ultra, and we are not getting the support we deserve. i hope that a professional from Samsung will response for this.

If you are still facing the issue, try this: https://youtu.be/67caR-GcYWE
2 weeks ago
I had this problem too with my Galaxy S24+ (European, Exynos version). It was working just fine until the Android 15/One UI 7 update earlier this year. Then it started to overheat and drain battery very quickly. I started having like 4 h of screen on time or less with normal use, barely reaching the end of the day with a full charge. Before that the phone could last 2 days with a full charge. I contacted Samsung support and they just told me to wait until the phone reoptimizes itself. Of course that did not happen. I tried many things like cleaning the cache partition, reinstalling some apps, etc. But nothing worked (I did not try a full factory reset). Then the Android 16/One UI 8 update came, but nothing changed, still the same issues.
THE SOLUTION: Finally I decided to use the warranty and I sent the phone to repair to the official Samsung Service. For the description of the problem I selected the "overheating" option and I described what I wrote here above. After two weeks I got the phone back, they acknowledged the heating issue and fixed the phone replacing "motherboard and spare parts". I guess "motherboard" includes almost all components of the phone, I doubt they can separate the processor, RAM, etc and replace just the motherboard, but they did not give me more details. In the end, the phone now works much better and similarly to how it worked originally. I now get around 50% of battery use in one normal day from 7 am to 11pm, approx 3:30 h of screen on time.
