Is Samsung going to sort the battery drain issues?

Never before have I considered leaving android, but I'm sick and tired of the terrible battery life that I've been experiencing since may. Is Samsung going to do anything about this? My battery would last all day and still have 50% as I went to bed.... Now as I write this I have 8%. Getting sick of this now!

What measures have you done yourself ?

Cleared cache? Optimised apps? Observed the battery usage in device care to see what apps are acting as the biggest drain ?

Have you been on the Google store and samsung store and checked if all the apps are up to date ?

Often these type of issues are fairly straightforward to resolve. Many times it is an app that isnt even the samsung responsibility, and that was designed to work with an earlier android version... or the developer of the app haven't issued a new update for the latest UI.

Sometimes you need to do a little diligence yourself. There are plenty of posts on this community with this kind of common problem and with solutions and fixes.

The first thing I would do personally is a cache wipe. Then I would update all apps. If there are some apps you never use then uninstall them... it is simple to add them back if you need them again. Use good guardians to optimise the apps.

If these steps dont work then you can go deeper.

I haven't changed anything myself, I don't have social media other than YouTube I don't download crappy games or novelty apps and the issue started in April with the android 15 update. Further more there's countless posts from other android users saying the same thing. I've disabled all AI features, as clever as it is I've no use for it, but it's made no difference to battery performance. I did a fully factory reset in August and it made no difference. I refuse to believe the battery is failing already as I've had Samsungs for 4 and 5 years before the battery life started to suffer, this device is 18 months old.

Nothing exciting... and I've always had always on display so can't see that being it.

I noticed the battery life on my phone is fluctuating. Sometimes it lasts alot of time and sometimes it drains fast. I think it's caused by something running or not in the background. Could be weak signal or anything, apps updates seems more controlled but I blame it on that too. I am somewhat a medium user. I am using AI, everything, no gaming.

The battery life on One UI8 beta was good. Since the official launch, the battery life has been appalling. I have not yet wiped partition though so will try that next. However, many people have reported about the bad battery life since the update.
