same for me after that update, honestly thinking about switching to something else - phone that doesn't survive 1 day with light usage and a few hours of screen time is a waste of money

That software update ruined the battery on my S24 Ultra too, and since then, the Samsung developers haven't cared about fixing it! 🥲 It was such a good smartphone.

Hello Samsung Members,
I'm experiencing a significant battery drain on my Galaxy S24 after a recent software update (13 Feb 2025). Before the update, my battery would easily last for 1.5 days. Now, it barely lasts half of it (15 Hours).
Has anyone else noticed a similar decrease in battery life after this update? I've tried basic troubleshooting steps like restarting my phone and checking for rogue apps, but the problem persists.
I want to emphasize that I haven't installed any new applications or altered settings that could impact performance. This issue arose abruptly and inexplicably following the aforementioned update, with no other changes to my device.
I'm concerned that this update has negatively impacted the battery performance of my device. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
I hesitate to consider that this might be a regrettable marketing strategy implemented to coincide with the launch of the new model (S25), as such conduct would be inconsistent with Samsung's reputation.
Thank you.

Connect to a PC/laptop.
1. Turn off the device. 2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key. 3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. 4. An "Installing system update" message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. 5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "Wipe cache partition". 6. Press the Power key to select. 7. Press the Volume down key to highlight "Clear cache partition - Yes", then press the Power key to select. 8. When the process is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted. 9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
Make sure no other settings have turned themselves on after the update, such as AOD.

Yeah mine sucks ass now too. Was great prior to the most recent update. Probably planned obsolescence so we all buy new phones

Happened after I did the software update this weekend. My phone wod virtually never go below 60% with normal use, now I'm at 35 with the same amount of use.
