OK so I'm a Samsung guy all my life. Android for life but recently I have come to appreciate and give credit to where it's due. Apple seems to always be a little step above when it comes to both phones having the same features and I'm basing this on reviews and comparisons I see from multiple sources

For example CAMERAS. Apple seems to always win in normal shots and video. This seems to always be the case

Portrait video.. Both have it. Apple seems to always have better edge detection and has more accurate colours.

Supersteady mode. Apples ACTION mode is more stable than Samsungs

Transitions in normal ui and cameras.. Apple always seems to have smoother scrolling and app opening and even the changing the camera lenses. Samsung still struggles with this.

When it comes to the actual processor. Apple seems to always be miles ahead in terms of benchmarks. Even now the s24 ultra is just about beating Apple's a17 bionic chip and that's a year behind.

Is there anything that Samsung does BETTER than Apple in terms of features?

Whenever there is a NEW feature. Who has done it better historically Apple or Samsung?

If Apple brings 4k 120fps do you think it will look better than Samsungs

You best believe Apple will also bring AI features in their next phone. Will it be better than Samsung?

If Apple brings in 100x zoom x would it better than Samsungs?

Hi @Haytch

It's a matter of opinion.

Samsung show more innovation and customisation than Apple in my opinion.

Apple typically take a feature , tweak it and put an i  in front 😆

No-one knows what will happen with phone's in the future and what Samsung,  Apple or one of the other manufacturers have in their pipeline.

Keeps the sector going stagnant and the end result is we all win.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I'm honestly not hating on Samsung. I'm just wondering what Samsung does better than Apple when both of them have the same feature

There are so many things that samsung does better
1 - Multitasking / multiwindow you can use multiple apps simultaneously
2 - S-pen i know most dont use it but i remember using it loads to sign docs etc when i bought my house. I imagine those who run businesses must use it loads.
3- General customisation of everything from your homescreen to widgets to your keyboard. Apple doesnt let you do any of it. Especially the keyboard is a big one
4-Dex I am not sure how many people use this but ever since i discovered this with the note 9 i have stuck with samsung. You can just cast your phone to the tv and you have a full desktop interface. No need of a separate mouse and keyboard. It has replaced my pc. After my last pc got spoilt i didn't bother buying a new one i just use my phone and have never needed anything more.
5 - fingerprint scanner in my opinion it is much better than face id as it helps keeping the punch hole small vs apples big dynamic island. I use my phone to watch stuff a lot and it is a much better experience on a samsung than an iphone.
6- Side loading apps. All you spotify and YouTube fans know what i am talking about 😉
7- Pausing video recording. Sounds ridiculous but you can't pause a video recording session on the iphone. You can only record separate videos

Im sure there are others that im missing but for me the few advantages that apple offers over samsung are marginal and not worth the sacrifices that come with owning an apple.

Just for context my work phone is an iphone (i would never spend my own money on one) and it does the basics right but is frustrating to use. My biggest frustration with it is finding the back button I just cant wrap my head around it

You have to look at these things as a whole. As in user experience.
In isolation you can pick on the good things.
But along with my S24 Ultra, Z Fold 5, google pixel 7 pro.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max

Using all phones side by side really shows the short comings of phones.
The iPhone for me is an extremely frustrating thing at times.
Keyboard software is stuck in the early 2000's. It's probably my biggest bug bear with it
You can't swipe to go back and have to tap the back arrow at the top of the screen
Having to go out of the camera app to go into the phone settings. Find the camera app to adjust some settings is ridiculous

I could go on really with other stuff like no Pro mode and other stuff on the phone.

Android just has so much you can do to customise your phone. Can get apps from other sources etc

There are some good things about the iPhone. But how people live with them as their only phone I don't know. But I guess if it's all you know about.

Android phones are not perfect. But for everyday use, at least in my view. I don't often get those AHHH moments of frustration that I get multiple times daily with the iphone

I would agree that samsung is more innovative and customisation is a big selling point.  The Flagship Samsung Devices may well be out in front in terms of  video quality and night time performance and Samsung devices bare generally able to capture more detail in photos.  iphones  tend to  be favoured for portraits,  bolder colours and better contrast.

You could argue Apple has a better Eco system  and  greater security   (though Samsung making strides).

I am more impressed with Samsung , have owned iphones in the past but not for a while now.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
