Adaptive brightness setting on S24 Ultra

Hi there.

Does anyone finding that the display isn't bright enough when adaptive adaptive brightness is on? I mean I can overwrite this and increase the brightness but that defeats the purpose of the 'adaptive brightness' setting.....

I find the display is a tad duller than what it should be. I wonder if this is only my phone or anyone else experiencing this?

In comparison, my s22 ultra is brighter on adaptive brightness. 🤔

Update 14.02.24:

I noticed that when I restarted my phone, the adaptive brightness is brighter (which is the way I want it to be). However, as I use the phone, the adaptive brightness underperforms and the screen brightness goes duller. I restarted the phone again this morning and it's back working properly (to my liking)....

Thought of sharing this update as I think it's a bit strange for the adaptive brightness to be acting this way.

We have an issue why is when on reboot my phone its nice and bright. Then once put pins in go to main screen but I can't see anything and it's on max brightness. Well I could see before putting pins in. Maybe an issue with how light sensor working with screen but this is not on. If I'm in dark place then go into sun for about 5 mins just dims but is still on full brightness changing any settings makes no difference even reset this is an os issue need fix this because what is point of having such bright screen if can't see it in sun. This is stupid. Please fix it.

Issue fixed delete health service storage and cache and then hard reset it has been 20 mins in sun and not dimming anymore thank God.

I'm having the same issue, takes a reboot to restore max brightness it's weird

I still have same issue why is.it when turn it off adaptive brightness it's still on. That's not right. ? I clearly see slider moving on it's own when off in sun. Please explain off is off no?

@minihassn: If you head to Settings > Display, is 'Extra brightness' enabled? If not, and if Adaptive brightness is toggled off, then you may wish to check Settings > Modes and Routines to see if a routine is set up to enable Adaptive brightness under certain conditions.

Everything I'm not set. This definitely issue my partner s21 fe did same she touch brightness toggle and fixed itself. Mine did not all I see message saying maximum brightness set for adaptive mode at bottom. Reset beleive will fix it but I do not nor have time for reset.
