I got the s24 ultra to get the best screen and I was really disappointed the colors were faint and dull
Then I discovered this was caused by the brightness forcing itself down due to overheating basically turning off the extra brightness toggle so I found a solution thermal guardian you can untick so brightness doesn't dim when overheating this caused me to love the s24 ultra again I was content with the display even if colors weren't exactly as I wanted as I prefer colder screens but still great for media
Then I updated from one ui 7 to the new update no issues until I rebooted today and suddenly the extra brightness slider is no longer functional now while typing this it finally restored my brightness it took maybe 10 min so it was overheating and ignoring my setting to prevent it from dimming
Samsung forces things on you that should not happen as most people don't even know that their screen dims randomly it happens silently you're not informed of it I shouldn't have to download a samsung app to keep my brightness at the highest possible level that the display is capable of producing this is my usecase and preventing dimming should be in settings not an app and it should be consistent.

Did you clear phone cache partition and or hard reboot the phone? Also try diagnostics via Samsung members app
How are you using the phone to incur so much heat

I use a live wallpaper and max brightness constantly i also have a warm apartment about 30 degrees c i have not tried clearing cache yet i will try that
Brightness is back again but sometimes it's not which means it ignores thermal guardian settings or goes past the threshold on thermal guardian which never happened in the weeks I used it this way even when gaming it stayed consistent
Keeping the phone off for 5 min then starting still had no functional extra brightness slider

I tried wiping cache it didn't work either this is one of samsungs bad decisions or it's a bug
