Hi there.

Does anyone finding that the display isn't bright enough when adaptive adaptive brightness is on? I mean I can overwrite this and increase the brightness but that defeats the purpose of the 'adaptive brightness' setting.....

I find the display is a tad duller than what it should be. I wonder if this is only my phone or anyone else experiencing this?

In comparison, my s22 ultra is brighter on adaptive brightness. 🤔

Update 14.02.24:

I noticed that when I restarted my phone, the adaptive brightness is brighter (which is the way I want it to be). However, as I use the phone, the adaptive brightness underperforms and the screen brightness goes duller. I restarted the phone again this morning and it's back working properly (to my liking)....

Thought of sharing this update as I think it's a bit strange for the adaptive brightness to be acting this way.

This is an issue for everyone apparently.....its to do with anti glare ......there are a few ways around it according to jeff springer on YouTube....using goodlock etc.....but hopefully samsung will address this soon with next update he says....so its not just you

Mine seems to be good.
I seem to have just the right amount of brightness.
I'm not doing anything different I don't think really
I have QHD turned on and I turn off Adaptive Colour Tone and Eye Comfort Shield

Hey there

This is really down to personal preference. For many it works well (as @Glenntech has mentioned above - myself I it depends where I am lol), for others it is too dim or too bright.

My personal preference @Kevish is to have more control over the brightness of my screen so I opt to turn the Adaptive Brightness to Off.

It's easy enough in my view to adjust the brightness manually.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

It's subjective. I love it dim generally. Doesn't blow my eyes out and saves battery.
I'll turn it up to look at photos as and when needed.

I think it's because the S24U can go lower in brightness so the brightness levels are different. I find my S23U at max brightness was brighter than this S24U despite it's meant to have much higher brightness.
