Wired Apple headphones

I have been using wired Apple headphones for many years. This was not a problem with the S10. I've had the S23 since May 2024 and suddenly there are problems. When I record messages via the headphones, there are unpleasant background noises - cracking, cracking. I have now bought at least 6 new headphones and the problem persists. The shop where I bought the mobile phone didn't know what to do. Maybe someone here can help me. Thank you very much.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community.

It may be worth trying different headphones entirely.
Make sure ports are clean

try heading to Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow to the right of 'Your apps' > Show system apps (toggle this on) > OK > USBSettings > Force stop > Storage > Clear cache > Clear data, then restart your device.

Yes, al 6 😞  - which I do not understand. I know, I could buy bluetooth ones, but I am afraid of losing them. When I speak infos or talk to someone without the headphones, everything is ok.

Thank you so much for your answer. I did everything, without "Clear data". They say, everything is deleted - all accounts and so on. I did not dear to do so. Are you sure, I can clear the data? (for your info, I am a 66 year old and technically not so inclined.

The port was cleaned in the shop, where I bought it.

I tried it again, but there is no difference.

Greetings from Austria.

I also tried Samsung wired earphones. These also did not work. When I talk to someone the people I talk to say they can't hear me very well. It's a strange, muffled, echoing sound.

Thank you so much for your answer. It did not change anything, so in the end I have to buy bluetooth headphones.
