I have a request for Samsung. I have a portable Bluetooth device that supports all aptx codecs (adaptive, hd, and lossless). Samsung currently only provides the basic aptx codec. I would be grateful if Samsung updated to the latest version of the aptx codecs. I would like to add that I use the above device for Hi Res wired headphones. Best regards, user S23

Hi @Waldex63 I have asked for other codes but alas Samsung only offer SSC their own version.

That's not going to happen, Samsung use their own high quality codec, there's also LDAC available on Samsung devices which is one of the best.

Unfortunately no sign of APTX lossless being supported at the present time.   A while back word from R+D was that  Samsung were supporting Adaptive APTX and not APTX HD  as the Developer tests revealed a  issue  with Audio chopping.   However this has not materialised.   A guide to the Bluetooth codecs here for anyone wishing to know more https://audioengine.com/explore/complete-guide-to-bluetooth-codecs-what-is-the-difference-aptx-vs-ap...

In my opinion, it is absurd that Samsung does not provide all the latest audio codecs in its flagships. The competition does, and in much cheaper smartphones. I think that over time this may turn out to be bad for Samsung.

But I know that. I use LDAC with my KZ-PR1 Planar. But I also use a portable Bluetooth device for Hi Res wired headphones and it supports all aptx codecs, but I haven't found such a device with the LDAC codec. And if the competition provides it in much cheaper smartphones, why not Samsung?

Samsung try to do what apple is doing. i paid full amount for my s24+ and now realized that Samsung block my right to use lossless aptx. don't buy any Samsung earbud and I am going to look for other phone who's not doing such rediculous thing like apple did

Samsung cripple my B&W PX7 headphones with this nonsense. Someone point me to a BT dongle to support the atpx lossless from S24 USB C?
