I've done diagnostics and it says action required for usb connectivity. I've tried multiple cables but the wired headphones still doesn't work. But the phone still charges...

Any ideas?

I also already cleared cache and data but still the problem persists. I need help

What headphones are you using? Are you using a USB C Adapter?

No I'm using my regular headphones that I had for a while. And a newer one that I bought a couple months ago. No adaptor. I had no issues with either headphones until yesterday. I don't understand how it's still charging but the wired headphones don't work.

Hi, just something else to try.
Did you update to UI 6.1 yesterday? When you say they are not working, what exactly do you mean? Are they not recognised when plugged in?

Is it possible they are working but just very low volume? With your headphones plugged in can you swipe down from top of screen and tap on Media Output. Ensure your headphones are selected from the list. Also look in settings>Sounds and vibration>Volume.

Hi,

Yes I've updated to 6.1. I can't even select my headphones from media output as it's not there. It's as if it's not recognising that the headphones are plugged in yet it still recognises the charging wire as it still charges.

If I play any sounds on the phone, I can hear them through the phone speakers, the Bluetooth speaker, but when I plug in the wired headphones the sound keeps on playing through the speaker, and doesn't transfer through the headphones. It's as if the wired headphones are not plugged in but it is. I've tried with several headphones but none of them seem to be recognised by the phone. Sometimes there's that little icon on the top left that says it's plugged in but then it disappears and not once is there anything happening through the wired headphones

Ahh OK, thanks for trying, sorry it didn't work. Judging by the disappearing icon it does sound like a loose connection but weird why the phone still charges. I take it the same headphones work in other devices.
As Robot has already advised though please reach out to tech support.

I just discovered that the super fast charging doesn't work. I thought it might have been the old cable but I just got the new one delivered and it doesn't charge with the new super fast cable either. But the super fast cables do work on my other phone. So the problem is seemingly with both the super fast cable and wired headphones. But the fast charging cable does work however. But if it's the same port, why would one work, and not the other two?

Since your update did you try wiping the cache partition. If not then please try

You will need to plug into a working device or pc/laptop.

What's strange is that according to diagnostics that it says it's 'charging' while using the super fast cable, but on my other phone it says 'super fast charging' while using the same cable. Why is it only affecting the wired headphones and super fast charging cable and not the fast charging cable? I cleared the cache for the usb
