My S23 Plus connects to my Asus RT-AXE7800 router, which is a Wifi 6E router. Before updating to UI 6.1, there was no Wifi problem. After I have updated my S23 Plus from UI 6.0 to 6.1. I have found that when it is connected to the router in  Wifi 6E mode, it says no internet or the connection fails. It only connects to the router in Wifi 6 mode stably. It seems that this is a bug of the update. Is there anyone who has the same problem out there?

I'm using the S22 Ultra and having the same issue. I can't get on the WiFi at all. I've done everything I can think of and what Samsung have told me to do.

Any experts on here can help I'd be very grateful.

Is it an Asus router? In 6E mode?

I think Samsung doesn't realize this issue.

No. I'm not sure what router it is but it's issued by the IP.

I don't think that's the issue.

Have you successfully connected to any routers other than yours?

Hi, same problem after update to 6.1.

Asus router RT-AX86U Pro, standard 2.4ghz, no wifi6 enabled. No configuration changes. It connect sometimes for few hours and then its not able to connect again.

Seems like some sort of "power save" trouble.

At router, its registered, treated as "connected", but at s23 its reporting "cant connect"
PST_AU =
Flags: P=Powersave Mode, S=Short GI, T=STBC, M=MU Beamforming, A=Associated, U=Authenticated

+ also it has faulty DHCP reported name "android-dhcp-14", instead of name on the device. Doesnt matter if random MAC is used, or static.

So where to report the bug at samsung?

I have a Samsung S23+ and when connecting to a WiFi 6E network (so on 6GHz spectrum) - the phone will successfully connect to the WiFi 6E network and get an IP address but Internet is not accessible. When I disable the 6GHz band and have only 2.4GHz and 5GHz running on the router then all is fine (Internet is accessible). Router is an ASUS ET8 updated with latest firmware and the Samsung S23+ is updated to latest One UI version 6.1 and Android version 14 (security patch level of August 1, 2024). Other devices (non-Samsung) connect without any issue (Internet is accessible).

I managed to get wifi 6e showing. Turn on developer mode and you want to go to WiFi safe mode and enable it. To turn on developer mode go to settings>about phone>software information and press build number seven times.

In my case, it also shows Wifi6E and it can get connected, but without any access to the internet. It only becomes normal when changing back to Wifi6, either manually or wait until it changes by itself.

What is the difference between Wifi Safe mode and the regular mode? If I enable it, will there be any features lost like loss in speed or security?

Yes, seeing and connecting to WiFi 6E is fine but Internet connection is not - I also have to revert to WiFi 6.
