So we're nearing the end of September and again no updates for the S23 Ultra.

Why is the device behind on updates compared to older devices?

Hi there, yes. Samsung postponed s23 ultra updates for those who haven't received it yet due to bugs like zoom, Bluetooth no service etc. They removed updates from server and they will resume it when all problems it's solved (I have s24 ultra they did to s24 ultras as well to double check their work even though they had 0 issues with s24 ultras but they unpaused it and I got the update like 3-4days ago) it's better to wait and have no issues then get it and have all these issues till the point you won't be able to use your phone properly.

Thanks, my S20 FE upgraded the other week, so was wondering why my S23 Ultra still reports the August update is latest.

Not a problem. Just keep an eye on updates I'll post on s23 ultras when somethings is available to public or developers leaks. 🙂

S23 ultra received 2 security updates this month.
Then they received the UI 6.1.1 update.
After this update it showed the security update had been moved back to 1 August 2024. But the other security updates showed as September before the UI 6.1.1 update was installed.

Mine is on 6.1 and not received any updates this month, last update installed was last month.

Is yours a UK unlocked Sim free handset not supplied by a Network.
If supplied by network then you will have to wait for your network to release their tinkered version.

I know it only says 6.1 but it is 6.1.1. Released on 17th of this month.

Yes, it an UK unlocked purchased directly from Samsung. Mine is 12 Aug 2024 update installed 30 Aug 2024.

Well for those who installed it have been left to suffer. Battery drain. Device gets hot. Camera zoom bug. Performance is poor.

I only got the UI 6.1.1 update after installing the security update 5 min before.
I will assume you went to settings, about phone, software information, then clicked on Google Play System Update. Then check for update.
As security update and UI update are separate checks.
