The Trade-in value unfortunately may not meet the expectations of the owner especially when taking into account much they have spent on the phone _ but do take into account that the phone is no longer new.
You may find a better solution by selling the phone privately to family ,friends or work colleagues.
However I wouldn't consider places like eBay due to possible issues that can be encountered.

You could maybe sell it privately and get better value.
Seems like people are getting the new s24 ultra for just over £400 with trade in deals and stuff.

The S23 Ultra was released in February 2023 so although you bought it at full price in September, it was already over 7 months old hence the trade in.
