Hi Samsung,

I'm a proud Galaxy S23 Ultra user and truly appreciate the amazing performance, design, and overall experience this device delivers. It’s one of the best flagships you've ever made, and it continues to exceed expectations in both capability and reliability.

I understand the S23 Ultra is promised 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security patches. However, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra now receiving 7 years of software support, I truly believe the S23 Ultra deserves similar treatment. Its hardware is still top-tier, and many users like me would love to keep using it for many more years with continued support.

Extending the update policy would demonstrate Samsung's commitment to device longevity, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. It would also strengthen user loyalty and emphasize the value of investing in Samsung's flagship devices.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

I understand the want- but I really dont believe this will happen. 2 years agter release theyre unlikely to extend it.

But- you could go to samsung members- support- feedback

Hi @n00bCaptain  Welcome to the Samsung Community :smiling-face:

I am sure some customers would welcome an extended update policy for more Devices  but the chances are fairly remote,Samsung prioritises the newer Devices.

Currently the 7 year update policy only applies to 2024 /2025 Flagships and subsequent Devices.  Some modern A Devices are entitled to 6 years of updates.

See my  earlier post here which I have updated https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/mobile-apps-services/os-and-security-updates/td-p/11605431

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

The s23 have different hardware in terms of hardware . Also newer phones have more efficient chips and are AI friendly from the S24 series onwards. I feel that could be reason.

I don't think I would still be using the same phone in 7 years the battery will be toast by then and I'm hoping in that amount of time there might be some noticeable hardware improvements, the S23 Ultra is a great phone I'm happy with mine
