We are often asked how may OS updates Devices receive plus the lack of security updates from Members on various Devices. How many security updates you receive will depend on the Device. The 7 year update policy only applies to Flagship Devices (2024 onwards) though the A16 is elegible for 6 years of upgrades and subsequent A Devices should follow suit. Some information re the update policy in this article https://sammyguru.com/these-galaxy-phones-are-eligible-for-seven-years-of-updates/
However the frequency of security updates is published on Samsung's security site and is regularly updated. This can easily be accessed here https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb

@JAMES4578 , please change name of topic, Samsung promised 7 years of OS upgrades, not just security updates
Samsung announced the new update policy during the Galaxy S24 launch in January 2024. It said all three Galaxy S24 models would receive Android OS, One UI, and security updates for seven years. Introduced with Android 14 onboard, the new flagships will pick up new Android versions till Android 21, which should arrive sometime in 2030. During this time, the devices will receive new One UI feature updates alongside the Android goodies from Google.
