This is it. I have my iPhone 16 pro max on order and I'm officially switching to iphone and apple as a whole. Samsung for too long have tried to be apple but they're just not, Samsung will never be able to streamline itself to be as user friendly as iPhone is and after investing in an apple TV and loving it, and how smooth this £149 box is compared to my £2000 Samsung TV is I've also bought an iPad air for my studies and only faced 1 bug compared to the countless amounts of bugs on my s23 ultra or any galaxy tab I've ever owned. If the company I rely on refuses to innovate to try and become another company, I'd rather go with the original. At least when apple releases a new phone with next to no differences you get a few additional features that you're actually going to use. Im not going to become and isheep and I definitely think that apple has its flaws, but I want a phone that you don't have to think about balancing my user experience and battery life, it just works. Because I genuinely can't stand 1080p on this huge display but 1440p uses too much battery.

Samsung mobile is a dying company, the proof is in the statistics, all of their products are starting to look really cheap, especially that awful plastic silver on the galaxy buds 3 series and the camera rings on the z and soon to be s series phones. Unfortunately I am just another user moving to iPhone because Samsung refuses to improve even marginally. I don't need a 10 percent increase for CPU performance, I need my phone to recognise my face or fingerprint first time, every time, I don't want 200mp, tiny sensor images, I want 24mp huge pixel, natural-looking images.

Goodbye Samsung, you failed another long time user.

I couldn't disagree with you more in my experience.
Appreciate that the experience you've had has been an unfortunate one.
Apart from my TV's being a bit slow, I'm impatient at times. I've not had issues with these either.

But I don't see the Samsung trying to be Apple.
I use an iPhone 16 Pro Max alongside my S24 Ultra and Z Fold 6.
With the new features Apple are implementing into iOS. If anything it's the other way round and Apple are slowly bringing in software that's existed for years on Android.
I also have the Apple AI Beta on the iPhone and it's no where near as good as Android's AI.

Both Android and iOS do have their issues. The one that annoys me most is the focusing issues on the S24 Ultra that clearly Samsung can't fix.
But I can still get better images than on my iPhone. Primarily as it has Pro mode that the iPhone doesn't.
But I guess that's a particular issue for me as I like my photography.
The iPhone is a good point and shoot though, and good enough if posting on social media.

Hopefully you will enjoy your venture to Apple. If it works for you then great.

As consumers, we have a lot of choice now. And I am all for choosing whatever rocks your boat.

I guess it depends on ones workflow.

I heard apple makes it really difficult for moving stuff across other devices.

I personally stick to android as its easier for me with regards to the above and find Samsung if not the best in certain areas more reliable and consistent for me.

I have been thinking about getting an iPhone for the last 10 years 😂 and always end up with Samsung.

Even pixels which I love as well put me.off the last time I tried using them.

Who knows you might be back before you know it. 😊

Yeah I might be, I've tried a pixel and I've used a pixel 6 pro alongside my phone and there's so many things I prefer but I hate the contrasty camera look, and the dynamic range is really poor and dark.

Sorry to hear that you are moving to Apple, I have access to multiple smartphones (nature of my job) personally I can't stand using the iphone 16 pro max.

In my experience and it's only my experience mind you, the iphone lacks so much. For example the zoom at full it terrible and the images are unusable. The iphone also has virtually no AI, releasing a smartphone which is missing essential features is kind of unforgivable. It lags, freezes and hangs often unfortunately too. Copy and paste works once, no clipboard, lower quality codecs used,no option for a higher resolution either. The new camera button is pretty pointless, it's extremely slow to make adjustments by which time the photo scene has gone.

Samsung are way way way more innovative and ahead of Apple.

When it comes to cheap plastics airpods case's scratchzt up very quickly. Tablets are something I don't personally use but Google TV exists on Samsung devices which compares with Apple TV and Samsung TV app is free to use. When it comes to ecosystems Samsung crushes Apple by miles. Apple for show Samsung for a pro. Again this is just my own experience, I certainly don't speak for everyone else, but good luck with your choice 😊
