After updating my S23 Ultra recently my SIM card keeps disconnecting, i can fix it by restarting my phone but its happening every 30 minutes or so. I have taken out my sim card, cleaned and reinserted it - which fixes the problem temporarily like restarting my phone. I have also reset my network settings

Anyone got any advice

Hi go into your settings look for General Management tap on that look for Reset then tap on that it should come up with options. Tap on the one that says Reset Mobile Network Settings and reset it. Then go back and see if you have a signal. If this doesn't work get back to me ok thank you 🙏

Hello @Unkn0wnRxbxl and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

You could try Going into Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Network Mode > If it's on the 5G option, then change to the 4G/3G/2G option to see if that makes a difference at all.

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

I assume your sim card works fine in another phone 🤔

As a process of elimination can you try another Sim card in your phone please.

For people with dual sim model phone's it maybe beneficial to try the sim card in the secondary sim slot.

To note there is a diagnostic test tool found in the Samsung Members App.

Safe Mode is a long shot but worth a try.

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

so is > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

Feedback via the Samsung Members App goes directly to Samsung for analysis.

A very last resort is to back up and factory reset.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess the phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Hi, try the old school method. When you said you've taken out the sim card, did you put it straight back in the device or did you give the connection on the sim card a rub with a clean cloth or even your bear hand & wait about 5-10 minutes then insert the sim & see if that makes any difference, anything is worth a try at this point.

Hi everyone, my Wife's phone have this issue, both sim cards works fine on different phone individually. Still, when I insert them into her S23 they worked fine for 30 min after that it disconnects from the providers, we follow every troubleshoot discovered, updated software, clean the sim cards, clean the sim holder, none of this works, any ideas about this issue, or what should be next steps to get this fixed?

Both sims are from different companies, and we use 4G on both companies. Are we going to have an issue with that? by the way, how can I disable the 5G

i have the same situation, i have to set the network to connect only "LTE/3G/2G" network. If I set to 5G network, it will go to emergency calls only if it connect to 5G network.
