Hi guys,

Just thought I'd share my views on all this "where's the August update and beta program".
There seems to be a lot of angry people complaining about this😅,but personally speaking I'm not that concerned.
The updates will come when they are ready,it's not like we are not going to receive any updates ever again.
I understand people wanting updates for the security of their phones, but our phones are not in any danger as far as I know having to wait a few extra weeks 🤷😂.
I've had phones from other brands where you get updates maybe once every 3 months(oppo, OnePlus) and those phones worked absolutely fine with no risk to the user.
One thing I would agree on is that Samsung should communicate to it's customers on when updates are likely to be released, then at least people would have an idea of when they are coming and thus not be soooo angry😅.

As for the beta, this does make me laugh a bit when some(not all) of users moan about not getting it yet,and these are the same people that moan that it's a "buggy mess" when they do finally install it...........like yeah it's a beta 🤷😂.

Anyway these are just my thoughts and I'm sorry if you disagree with me,it's just an opinion and not to cause offence😊.

I was going to write something similar but you saved me the bother! Lol I agree totally. Late and bug free is absolutely fine. Anyone who has used an iPhone with ios 16 installed will know that fast updates are not good and they are buggy. Be patient guys.

why do these users want security updates so quick what exactly do they use their phones for, some years ago there hardly were updates the phones still worked fine

And my opinion is that while Samsung posted on their Dev website that one ui 6 would be available within the stated regio s they failed to qualify not all regions would get the release at the same time.

Furthermore, experienced users will always accept the beta may not be fully functioning and have bugs. I for one have no issue with that in mind I would not moan.

I get the August update will be delayed on the s23 as it's included within one ui 6.0, but.please update us.

I do moan when Samsung fail to communicate with their customers from whatever region they may come from.

It is needed for company policies to use certain apps. Otherwise companies block the usage

If Samsung let people know about updates or not.
Some will inevitably get bent out of shape with whatever is said and done.
Sadly that's the world we live in.

The Beta thing. I get some want to try it out eagerly. I was eager enough to try Android 14 that much I brought a Pixel 7 Pro. Was buggy like mad to start with.

But unfortunately there are some that hear about the Beta and want to try it without realising that the software contains issues. Like banking app not working for one.

I get why they keep it to certain regions first and then open the program up to others.
Like it or not
It's just the way Samsung does it.
They are not obliged to inform anyone as it a voluntary contribution people make should they wish to

Really phones don't need regular monthly updates, and for the most part contain nothing more than slight adjustments to software that make no user difference

I know my phones will get updated at some point. So nothing to stress about
