Samsung s23 Ultra Lagging Animation Problem

Good afternoon,

I bought s23 Ultra, and I paid 1500 euro for it. It is suppoused that this phone is the fastest at the market now. However there is a problem, which I suppoused that will be fixed after the first update. But after this update the problem was not solved at all. That’s why I decide to write you and explain what is the problem in order to fix it as soon as possible.

I am the man who use the gestures on the phone more than 4 years. This was the first thing that I done when I bought my phone. I installed the apps which I use like facebook, messenger, viber and whats up. This is the only thing that I use on the phone. The special gestures which are “swipe from sides and bottom”. When you are on this type of gestures and stops to see “gesture hint”, when you close the application, on which the keyboard is shown on the display, the animation lagging and it is very irritating. This problem shows only when the keyboard is shown on the display and “gesture hint” is stopped. I tested this on more than 15 phones from the series s23 and the problem is the same on absolutely all of phones. It is just unforgivable to pay 1500 euro for the phone, which lagging at such usual things like close the application.

Please, make update as soon as possible to fix the problem.

I can't reproduce your issue, which is very odd since you mentioned trying it on multiple devices. I also tried on my sister's and her boyfriend's phone, and none of them have the issue you described. They also have the S23 Ultra.

The thing is Samsung can't provide a fix to a problem no one else is reporting. Can you take a screen recording and post a link to it here?

I used screen recorder on the phone but the lagging is not visible on the video. You can see it only on live. Yesterday I have an opportunity to test this on s20 Ultra, s21 Ultra an even on A53 - phone that is more under the level than s23 Ultra. Even that, there is no lag on each of these phones. Today I test this on another 5 phones series s23, and all of them have the same issue - lagging animation.

Is there anybody that have a decision of this problem? Because obviously the old models have not this problem, only these from the new series s23.

I've had the same problem. I have already replaced one phone and the new phone is doing it as well. I've cleared the cache, I haven't installed any apks. I get a OneUI has stopped working at times(fewer times than one the first phone I had). I just today realized it was something to do with gestures but can't figure out why. I came from a Fold3 and didn't have this issue on that phone.
