So those who know me know my wife has an s23. She not been keen on it but it had good battery life and served her well until this charging issue came to light. The phone will only charge on wireless and it will only work with one specific anker battery pack. This is obviously not ideal and she uses her phone for work. Have sent error logs, have tried reaching out to Samsung. They insist its software fault so no need to send in. Well when July update came out and still the same issue she came to the end of her tether. iPhone ordered now. Will not be letting Samsung get away with this will be making sure that phone gets fixed then it will be sold. From here on now bye bye Samsung. I’m still here to chat to people if they want about tablets and phones and I will not give biased comments or  help but unfortunately it’s the end of the road for me and Samsung. (At least it will stop me switching backwards and forwards all the time). To anyone else experiencing this issue keep on at Samsung it’s not fair. We were forced to switch as she need the phone working now not in 3 months time. Another disgusting Samsung customer care case.

Samsung is great until something goes wrong that is slightly left field, that's when you find out just how horrendously poor their customer service and after care is. It's been like this for years, and they never change.

"it just happened on its own"

Surely you can claim warranty? Also, why no care+ or insurance on such an expensive procuct?

Totally. They have lost us both this year. Every product can go wrong it’s how it’s dealt with which is what matters

Samsung care + is not worth the battery used to display the plan number 😂 been there worn t shirt got shafted with my phone. We are going to claim warranty but my point is Samsung is making us wait for software fix which could be months they won’t look at the phone. So in the draw it goes till they will fix it then off to mazumma it shall go.

Like said above Samsung is great till it goes wrong and until it happens to you and twice that’s when you get the nasty end. Shame as it was a nice phone but no good if you cant charge it an no fix in the foreseeable future. Put it this way when Apple screwed me over (very long story but it was bad) I got given a 14 pro max for free. And Samsung can’t even be bothered to look at this 7 month old phone. Hmmmmmmmm

That’s it and I have also had great experiences with Samsung until 2024. One credit to them when the screen on my s21 delaminated Samsung took 2 days to look at it and said yea we can’t be bothered to fixed that we will just send you a new one or give you a FULL refund. However with my s24 ultra it came with a dead pixel and Samsung said it would take 3 months to replace it and I can’t keep the ultra while I wait. And then this story you read about with the s23. Just a shame it’s really put me off.

I have had and still have some great products from Samsung that are reliable and do what they should. I found out the hard way how bad their customer service is when my Flip 5 developed a screen fault. My first ever faulty Samsung product. Even with Samsung care, they made it as difficult as possible to get the phone repaired. In the end, it took over four months for them to finally admit it couldn't be fixed and to offer a full refund. That in this day and age should not be happening.
