S23U and R-Link2 call issues

Both my S20FE5G and S23U will work with media playback via BT or USB and with Android Auto.

But have noticed neither will work with calls on my Mégane MK4 R-Link2. The phones are detected and have the call facility, but when you make or receive calls the audio cannot be heard via the R-Link system and you can't be heard on the remote phone.

I've unpaired and repaired devices, I've performed a reset all and reset network settings but neither of these have fixed the issue.

I'm sure my S20FE5G used to work, so could be an update on the phones causing this. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and managed to resolve it.

For reference both phones work with Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Buds, LG Buds, Bose Headphones.
