Whenever I'm on speaker mode and have max volume, the sound keeps going up and down but when I check the volume, it's still on max. If I switch apps or something and get back to the game, it'll go back to the original volume for a while before going up and down again
I'm assuming the phone turns down the sound whenever it detects something it deems too loud or something, which is a cool feature but not really something I'd like to use. Is there anyway to fix this?

Not exactly a solution but I've found the source of the problem.
It's because of Game Booster, whenever your phone gets too hot, it'll automatically turn down the volume until it reaches normal temperature.
I found this out after searching on a different subject on why why phone keeps showing this blue lines sometimes.

Hello @TandemBison
May I take this opportunity to extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
As a starting point perhaps try this generic troubleshooting step.
If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.
This is an older thread in our US Section of the Samsung Community Forum.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi, thank you for the warm welcome
I have read the older thread you mentioned and I'd like to elaborate that when the volume goes down, the "volume" settings are still at 100%. It doesn't go down to, let's say 70% because the volume key was pressed. (my S23 Ultra is also brand new)
The solution of "close all" and clearing the cache or just restarting the app, it kinda works(?), but after playing a certain amount of time, the volume goes up and down again.
I was thinking of trying restore factory settings, see if it's any different before I updated the OS but seeing as the link you sent was before S23 Ultra was even out, I'm doubtful if it'll work. Also changed a lot of settings and downloaded quite a few games so I'd like to avoid doing those all over again x.x
Do you per chance know any other solutions I could try?

@TandemBison: Does the volume reduce momentarily, or is it for an extended period of time? When a notification is received on your device, the volume will lower to accommodate the notification sound, therefore you may wish to try heading to Gaming Hub > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Game booster > Block during game > Notifications (toggle this on).
Similarly, head to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb and toggle this option on while you are watching a video or playing a game. To ensure that you are not accidentally reducing the volume manually, head to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume > Use Volume buttons for media > Off. Let me know if this helps at all.

The volume is reduced for an extended period of time. It'll go back up after awhile.
I don't know if this is actually the case, but it seems like it goes down during the "loud" parts of a song and go back up when the song gets more "silent".
I tried putting it on do not disturb, it still doesn't work. Tried the volume limit like user Galaxy2024 said, but the option was already off to begin with.
