So I had an oppo x5 pro superfast charging 80w no issues swapped phone to a samsung galaxy S23 Ultra which came with I can only assume a 3a cable. When I've charged it with a 45W charger I was getting intermittent fast charging. So I swapped out the charger cable for a 5a 100W cable but still no fast charge so far I've bought 4 different chargers and cables to try get fast/superfast charger I've not got any. I've checked battery status when on charge just stated charger connected not fast charging or superfast. The battery stats have been reset and all settings changed for enabled fast charging and the battery protection all setting tried and even with protection switched off. I'm at a loss as to why it won't fast charge. Any one got a solution?

Are you using an official Samsung charger? Also from what percentage are you charging from? You also have to switch on fast charging in settings which i assume you already have?

Hello Craig,

Try a wireless charger first and check if the S23 is fast charging. Ensure fast wireless charging is toggled on first, obviously.

I do recommend getting hold of a working OEM charger and cable and test.

Can you also try a hard reset

With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

And a cache partition wipe

Plug into a working PC or laptop or other Samsung device

My S23 Ultra charges at about 37w when pretty much empty but as the charge percentage or phone temperature increases, the charging watts drops off.

Try installing AccuBattery as this will track your battery charge speed, and show current wattage, amps, and voltage when charging.

Having same issue since last software update. Some times it charges fast then after 5 to 6% increase it stopped automatically then again start and stop and this happens continuously... slow charging is normal. Tried with all official & unofficial chargers but no success at all.... waiting for next software update may be the issue solved automatically by Update.

I am also facing the same issue. I got my phone just 1 day ago. I confirmed with watt meter and confirmed most times it's only pulling 10 watts and occasionally 15 watts. Funny thing is my old note 10 charges faster than my new phone with the same charger. Tried multiple cables. Only thing left is taking to a Samsung store

my problem description:

I have an S23 ultra I recently bought, and I am trying to charge it at the rated 45W speed. I am using a Nothing 65W GAN charger with a Portronics 100W cable that shows the watts being used.

I notice the cable display only goes upto 15W even though the phone says Super Fast Charging 2.0. On my old device Samsung Note 10 the same combo would push 25W and in this new device it barely ever goes above 15W.
