Is there going to be a fix for gps issues with Google Maps anytime soon?

I'm having the same issue.. only thing that helps me is uninstalling the update and leaving it uninstalled.

I have similar issues driving Uber, all of a sudden the map will completely stop working and it doesn't matter which map I use, GPS is just gone. Thankfully I found a very quick and easy solution, I'll be at temporary, swipe down and turn location off, wait 2 seconds and then turn it on again. GPS immediately comes up again.  For whatever unknown reason turning on airplane mode does NOT fix this problem. Your results May vary depending on what batches are good or bad, but this is what works for my phone.

I was also having GPS issues and is a delivery driver as well. 

The fix on mine was to go into app permissions and making sure your maps has "allow all the time " selected.

I fixed mine by wiping the cache  partition.

Did try those method even reset factory setting. Phone was clean and no gps

I am having the same issue and I have tried everything and no joy? Can someone please help me?

This is wierd thing. I get in the car and no gps signal then i get out of car and i have gps signal back. I did test many times. 

Get out of car, put destination, click start. Then get in car and i can use the google map until i arrive. 

Wait for few minutes, put other destination and Gps signal lost.

Get out of car again, search same destination and i have all gps signal back.

So this is hardware or software issuse???
