S23 - Homescreen shortcuts at the bottom aren't working

Help!! My new s23 +, the 4 homescreen shortcuts at the bottom are not working, phone ,google , camera, messages. I tried to change them and since then they have frozen. Please help ...

Changed the home screen background and now all is good. Thanks to all for the help.

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Pressing volume down and power key together, until the phone turns off itself.

It's not the navigation buttons it's the 4 app shortcuts ,call, messages etc

Try going into settings > Apps > one ui > storage. Clear the cache.

No luck, they just seem to be frozen, can't use or remove. Really appreciate all your help.

How does changing the home screen background fix the issue?  What was that background doing to cause the links not to work?  What background were you using and what background did you change to, please?
