I'm reading user's of the S23 Series of Phones are having issues with the new 6.1 update.
Is anyone here experiencing any issues with it? If so, What? I'd like to hear the problems you're facing with it.
Gary 🙂

I have had no major issues since updating my S23 Ultra to One UI 6.1 to be honest, and I am really enjoying it. The only small hiccup I can detect is that the video stabilization on the 1x lens is not too good if videoing objects under 0.5m away. It can shake noticeably, and the yellow level bar (when using grid lines) refuses to settle properly and flutters about merrily, even when my device is dead still. I don't video objects close up in my day to day videos, so this little issue does not bother me in the slightest. My device still records excellent video overall. Indeed, my eye is telling me that low light noise control is actually better after the update?. This to me is a nice trade off. I have reported my minor gripe via this app nevertheless, and I was told that technicians will be looking into my 'problem'. If they fix it, great. If not, I will continue enjoying my phone to the max and forget about it.

I've figured out why the AOD screen is randomly changing colour... Basically it's not linked to your lock screen wallpaper so as I have the magazine unlock it's changing the colour with every new wallpaper! 🙄

Terrible battery life, phone getting hot, irregular mobile data use, inconsistent charging.

My s23+ is bricked after One UI 6.1 update (including the Dec patches) as I've refrained from updating my phone for a while and only got interested in the recent AI hype. Worst decision of my life, ever!
I've bought it in May 2023, been smooth and not a single defect until it's get completely bricked off screen while I'm having dinner, with about 70% battery (as far as I can remember). It just dead, stone cold, no charging, no vibration. And to make it worse, my warranty expired in April and my Care Plus expired around August. I got my phone bricked on December and it's barely 2 years of usage.

I feel cheated, like my girlfriend being stolen by a douchebag that got all the favor and good words in town overnight.

I brought my phone to their service center and the technician cannot do anything except replugging the cable to force a reboot, in hope that the motherboard will respond to charging. But nope, stone cold. One more day of deeper checking and I got a phone call confirming a motherboard replacing of around 8 millions VND (~315 dollars).

Not many report of similar cases in VN, but it seems to be a global issues with certain percentage of unlucky people get their savings financially attacked and I'm no exception. I'm living on paycheck to paycheck and this S23+ is a strategic investment and Samsung did me dirty.

Now I'm relying a newly bought A34 to keep my employer happy but still have to suffer the ordeal of setting up all the required authentication for work.

But all bitterness still linger on, I'm spreading my case for the world to see.

Think and backup before accepting Samsung updates.
