So, hi everyone! I just made an account even though I already had a samsung account for years...
I just updated my S23 to the ONE UI 7 and I gotta say I quite don't like it... If not kinda hate it.
Customisation is almost not present anymore. You have the options to change things, but you only have two chioces about almost everything! Home and app grid, used to be 4 different options, now you can only choose between 4x6 or 5x6.
There is a huge non consistency among the widgets and the backgrounds: same have the possibility to remove the background completely, some can only go to 50% transparency. And why would I want a black (or white) clock widget that take up the whole screen that displays only the time without the date?
And I could go on and on for ages... I hate that you can't change what is shown in the quick settings area regarding "Smart view, smart things, nearby devices and routines". I don't want it, I don't use it, but there is no way to remove completely that settings.
Routines widget do not diplay the name of the routine, just the icon. Which can be useless if I saved the routines I created with similiar icons... and you can choose to use the 2x widget, to show two routines, or the 2x1/2x2 non resizeable widget for the single routine...
Shall I go on? I will revert to 6.1, I just can't bear the new looks... and I'm glad I'll lose the AI features, never cared about them in the first place
