S23 Mobile Data not working since last software update

I have an S23 FE Dual SIM, using only 1 SIM, One UI version 6.1, Android version 14.

Last software update successfully completed 2 days ago.

Mobile Data stopped working since then. At times, I cannot even make calls.

Wifi connection works.

My mobile network is up and running, no issues reported (I am based in the UK, mobile network provider is BT).

I tried pretty much everything.

-restarted phone several times

-disabled SIM, restarted phone

-reset mobile network settings

-reset APN settings

-Data roaming is ON

-Flight mode ON/OFF

-Data ON/OFF 

-auto-connect enabled

- cache cleared

-'Mobile data or Wi-Fi' is selected for all apps. 

- Allow background data usage > On for all apps 

 

How can this be fixed???

I've also had problems since the software update—I'm getting "Not registered on network." Rebooting the phone fixes it until I lose Wi-Fi when I go out. I've read somewhere that toggling flight mode on and off might help—I'll try this next time.

same problem here - for SIM and ESIM. Everything after update

I can confirm that toggling Flight Mode on and off works, at least temporarily. However, my phone occasionally loses the network during the day, so I have to repeat this step each time.

Hi, I have tried various platforms but only way to report it is here on the Samsung member forums. Hopefully Samsung development team will see this at some point.

A solution for now is to go to Connections, Mobile Networks, and change Network mode from 5G to 4G.

This should stop the phone from constantly going into Emergency Calls Only mode.

It seems something has gone wrong with 5G connectivity after this update putting phone into Emergency calls only mode.

Thanks for this suggestion, it seems to be working. I'll post again if it doesn't work!

I have a UK SIM (Vodafone) and was having major problems roaming in France (not so much in Switzerland strangely).
The solution for me was to restart the phone in recovery mode (top tip the phone must be plugged into a device not just a charger; I used my TV) and clear the cache.
It not seems to be OK. I have read elsewhere that this might have been caused by the upgrade to OneUI 6.1 but who knows?
I'll comment again if this fails.
