Does anyone know of a way of removing blur from a photo (already) taken in the portrait mode? I believe on the S22 there was an option in editing that gave you a slider bar to remove the blur added to the photo, but I can't see this option anywhere on my S23 Ultra

The artificial bokeh/background blur?

Go into the Samsung gallery app and chose 'change background effect'

However if you mean natural blur or motion blur...some editing can help but it can't focus something that was never captured....Screenshot_20230413_075419_Portrait.jpgScreenshot_20230413_075424_Portrait.jpg

@Drummy: Do you mean that the option to remove the blur effect isn't available, or it is there, but you're unable to complete the edit? If it's the latter, are you making sure to hit 'Apply' in the top right corner after you've adjusted the slider?

I'm removing the blur and hitting apply and it's making zero difference at all, the photo was a still so there was no natural blur etc

Remaster helps a bit. Click the 3 dots and choose remaster.

Depending on the photo it helps . Although it's mostly for old photos.

Hey,

I have blurry face(s) in portrait mode, how can I remove it and make the face(s) sharp again? I cannot find any option in Samsung Photo Editor to remove blur, maybe I'm looking at the wrong place. Thank you for your help.

Im not sure if you figured it out, but i thought they removed this option on my s24 ultra. They moved it. For my phone i have to click the "i" info button at the bottom on the photo and more editing options will appear on the photo. The background effect button will allow you to remove the background blur that was applied during portrait mode.

Update: Find wherever the "Details" option is on your photo. Again more editing options will appear.
