Quickshare

So, Samsung seem to have updated and broken, quickshare.

Before, I'd click on video files, click share, it would say UPLOADING, and I'd copy the link, send in an email and the files could be downloaded.

Now, when I click share, it comes up with 'scanning nearby', NOTHING about uploading.

If you click on the qr code, it says copy url BUT when you click to go on the link, there's NO option to download the files!

I'm using this to send video files to housing about ongoing asb issues. 

They need to be able to download them!

White screen is my friend's Z-flip 3 that's still working same. 

Black screen is what my S23 Ultra is now showing

Samsung, what are you doing?? You've broken something that was working fine

And if shared with contact does that prepare the link better? Or is that what you've been using anyway

Strange that it can't be downloaded usually there is a download option. I'm assuming the party is viewing it via browser

With the new quickshare, I can still send the url (under the qrcode) and the recipient is able to download the file.
Or did I misunderstand your post.

(By the way, I shared a video file but cropped the thumbnail out of the screenshot)

The pic of the white phone is way it used to work. I uploaded from her phone yesterday and you can download.
Mine updated quickshare and its broken it.

I clicked on your link and if I click on the video I have the option to download (at the bottom) see screenshot.

That so weird??! Used to give me the option to download too? So if I'd shared something, then deleted by mistake, I could download the shared file. No longer does that

Ok, thanks, very strange as friend said yesterday it didn't say download 🤔
If it's sharing/downloading, that's ok, it was easier before though. Thanks very much 👍
