I have been using my Galaxy S23 for nearly two years. Recently, while I was using the split screen feature while charging (which I now realize was a bad idea), I received a warning message about overheating and the split screen closing. I set my phone aside to let it cool down, but nothing changed.
The next day, while I was on a call, the phone became very laggy, the volume decreased, and it turned off by itself. When I tried to turn it back on, I noticed the battery was at 1 percent, and it quickly depleted to 0. This happened twice that same day.
After that, when I woke up, my phone wouldn’t turn on. I tried charging it, but that didn’t work, so I took it to Samsung. Since I arrived late in the evening, they couldn’t check the phone that day, but their initial assumption was a motherboard issue. Later, they contacted me and said the problem was actually a battery issue. They boosted the battery or did something similar, but when I brought the phone home, the same problem persisted. It still shuts off automatically while I’m using it, and the battery drops from 20 percent down to 1 percent.
What should I do?
