Hi all,

For some reason, my phone has started giving me the moisture warning in my charging port or usb cables, bearing in mind the air in my room is so dry that I get static shocks every time I sit down.

I have tried multiple usb cables and all of them do the same thing including official Samsung ones. The diagnostics test skips straight past the usb related tests. There is no foreign debris in the port and no moisture whatsoever. I've even had my phone day in front of an air con unit to draw out any moisture and no such thing has happened and yet the issue still persists.

Does anyone have any solutions for this or is this just planned breakage to get me to buy a new phone. There's virtually no damage to the phone whatsoever so if it is planned faults then I'll be switching to pixel or Xiaomi because I've tired apple already and that didn't work out well.

I just can't believe you can pay £1700 for something that can have so many faults that you don't even cause yourself.

Thanks

Hello.

Hopefully it may sort itself out.

Until then you might have to resort to the slow wireless charging to get you by.

I has this issue on my old s21 ultra when on holiday. Had to charge it wirelessly the whole time. Come back to England and it sorted itself out.

And trust me I tried everything under the sun.

Thank you, hopefully it will sort itself out because I love Samsung so much but I can't explain how many issues I've had with their products, and apple is far worse from my experience but Samsung really need to sort their stuff out.

Greeting H3S3G,
Haha Moisture in the air would increase any static charge, Let me save you further damage to the device, Stick it in a bowl of rice completely covered for a couple days. As there is no sun at the moment In the UK and you have no luck in seeing any sign of it. Please borrow or use a hairdryer to lightly medium setting Warmth heat the charging port area for a couple a minutes At a distance and roating the heat DO NOT FOCUS it in one area for a prolonged period of time. HEAT setting should not be unbearrable to you on the wrist and at close distance.

I'm confused... I'd never put my phone in a bowl of rice, it doesn't do anything and can actually make things worse. It doesn't absorb any moisture.

Okay, thats Your Perogative. I've just offered my advice to try and help the OP, Please explain how this can damage the device further? (I didnt tell you to stick rice in the actual port) thanks for you input though.

Sorry if it came across a little agressive, wasn't my intention 😅

If the rice did absorb all the moisture, it can stick to and corrode some of the metals in the charging port and speaker grill. That's why I don't do it. 😊

Bud...BUD Buddy... we both got out on the wrong foot. Apologies accepted and granted.
Let me make make a quick comment though loool " Moisture in the device Soaking into the rice & sticking to and corroding metals like stainless steel and aluminium" i was under the impression Samsung use metals like these for construction to avoid such scenarios ie: Corrosion.

I had a similar issue with the Samsung fold 5 what I discovered was ( if your a vaper) certain liquids (juices/flavouring) have stronger moisture levels which causes the usb-c moisture detection to constantly trigger and essentially lock the port try cleaning your port then if you do vape try and keep vape cloud of the phone until you can swap to a different liquid
