I've recently just got myself a brand new s23 after doing alot of research i have switched from the iPhone xr to the s23 . Now I never once saw a issue or complaint about the battery but man it's so bad on my new phone.

I've tried everything and it still sucks . I get about 3 hours of screen on time before I have to charge it and that's unacceptable. Now people suggest turning off major features like 120hz and many other features which is the whole reason we buy a flagship phone, why should I compromise on major features of a brand new phone I just bought???. Please tell me this will go away and it's just some sort of learning phase because it's only been 5 days .

I have lost 7% in the space of 30 mins and I charged it to 80 and never let it go below 20. I need some explanation

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

If you've only just bought your device, within the first couple of weeks it will go through a learning cycle to understand how you use your device and will then optimise your battery according to your use pattern.

Well I can't exactly just trust your words sorry but do you have any evidence or proof?. I can't take that risk I get 14days to give this phone back , now if I wait a few weeks and it's still the same then that just won't be good

You asked in your post if it's a "learning phase". If you don't want to take someone's advice, return it get something else.

Theres a difference between advice and proof of something that's really. Now if this learning phase is real then I want proof

Doesn't seem too convincing to me. Even if true it says it lasts a couple of hours not 5 days. But I'll be patient and see if it gets any better

You've asked advice. Many of the Samsung Members Stars have been posting on here for years so we do know our stuff.

Samsung devices are well known for this, it is part of the Optimisation of your device.

Happy to help but if you don't want help then fair enough.

Okay I appreciate your help and I'll take your word for it. How long does it usually take for it to fully optimise ?
