January 2025 update issue

Hi there!

I have the latest update on my S23 - the January 2025 security patch.

Ever since I got this update, my phone is getting hot, even when I'm doing basic activities, making my phone laggy.

Plus, the battery drains much faster. I saw that I'm not the only one with this issue. Will One UI 7 fix these problems? 

I came back from OnePlus and I'm not afraid to switch again.

I have the S23 ultra and have noticed a little decline in the camera department. I see others before mentioning how sammy deliberately pushes out certain updates to make sure that the customer buys the newer product. I really hope this isn't the case as it sounds petty and hopefully illegal if true. My battery has been fine, though. Selfie is working as sharp as ever. Love my S23 ultra and wouldn't trade it in for the newer models.

Camera's fine for me as well.

It does sound petty, but there is a small chance, knowing Samsung's behavior over the new update.

I don't feel like changing my phone so soon and I certainly don't feel like downgrading.

Sorry if it's an obvious question,but have you performed a partition cache wipe?.
I normally do this after every software update,and my phones run as they should.

It may sound funny, but I haven't lately. 

Just to be sure, it doesn't delete any personal files, right? I am willing to try everything at this point.

I returned the S25 ultra 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure how I got caught up in the hype. It's a downgrade in the bigger camera rings. A downgrade in the width, a major downgrade without the Bluetooth function spen, and a downgrade in it's washed out colours. Selfies or group selfies were better using the spen. And even taking shots of yourself using the rear cameras works so much easier with the spen. The design is a mixed bag. Personally, I think the S25 ultra should've been the S25+. Even at the highest vivid settings, my S23 ultra looked much better. Side by side, the older ultras look bigger and better than the S25 ultra for watching content. That width really makes a noticeable difference.

No it doesn't delete any of your files,it just cleans up your phone.
Hopefully this will solve your issue 🙏
